Anne Kelly is a Montessorian Dementia Consultant and registered nurse who also holds qualifications in Post Graduate Dementia Management, Assessment & Workplace Training and Dementia Care Mapping. She has worked extensively in dementia care in both residential and community care for the past 30 years.
Recipient of a Churchill Fellowship in 2009 enabled her to travel to Greece, Canada and the USA to work alongside the world experts in Montessori principles and a rehabilitative approach to care for people living with dementia. Since her return from overseas Anne has worked with organisations to both mentor and train staff in Montessori methods and the change process required to implement Montessori as a model of care.
Her work with one organisation in Victoria has led to them being the recipient of the Health Minister’s Gold Medal Award for Person Centered Care in 2012.
Anne is well know throughout Australia as one of only a few aged-care Montessorians. Her training is motivational, inspiring and she has been asked to speak about Montessori and the potential it has to change peoples lives of people living with dementia at many organisations and conferences both in Australia and the USA.
Anne currently is the Managing Director of Montessori Ageing and Support Services where she coordinates training and consultancy around the country.
